Our Gardens

In Spring and Summer there are wild flowers in abundance.  A newly planted wood merges into the old woodlands on the hillside (tor) which rises behind the cottage.

A stream side setting and 28 acres of wildlife hillsides surround you. Swim in the outside heated pool in Summer, walk through the valleys towards Lydford Gorge and Dartmoor, play golf, ride, fish or cycle or visit the coastlines of Devon and Cornwall.

Tavistock, voted best market town in England, is a 10 minute drive. The Cornwall border is a 20 minute drive.  Badgers and deer enjoy the cover of the gorse and pheasants nest undisturbed. Butterflies and buzzards hover gently and sometimes the heron sweeps down to the stream.

 

The wildlife and natural habitat are preserved. In the summer the heated outdoor swimming pool is available to guests throughout the day and evenings. You may even feel like a romantic Moonlight swim!
